$500,000 Legacy Society Matching Challenge from

David & Vala Lueth

We are excited to announce a new matching challenge above and beyond our co-founders’ annual $2 million matching gift.

Our very generous supporters, David & Vala Lueth, believe in making an immediate impact while also ensuring the Lucky Duck Foundation can transform lives for generations to come. That’s why they have created a remarkable $500,000 Legacy Society Matching Challenge.

During August’s “Make-A-Will Month,” the first 20 people who make a written commitment to include the Lucky Duck Foundation in their will, trust, or retirement plan with a minimum planned gift of $100,000 will each unlock an immediate $25,000 donation from David & Vala Lueth.

In other words, without contributing a single dollar today, you can immediately unlock a $25,000 gift to the Lucky Duck Foundation while creating a lasting legacy for the future.

Participating is simple: just notify us that you have included the Lucky Duck Foundation in your estate plans with a minimum planned gift of $100,000.

Your legacy commitment will:

  • Unlock an immediate $25,000 gift from David & Vala Lueth
  • Welcome you into the Lucky Duck Foundation Legacy Society
  • Help ensure the Lucky Duck Foundation can continue serving San Diego County for generations to come

The collective impact will be lasting – 20 Legacy Society commitments will:

  • Generate at least $2 million in future estate commitments to help sustain the Lucky Duck Foundation’s impact
  • Provide $500,000 in immediate funding through David & Vala Lueth’s matching challenge to advance the Lucky Duck Foundation’s work today

How It Works:

  1. Include the Lucky Duck Foundation in your will, trust, or retirement plan with a planned gift of at least $100,000
  2. Let us know you’ve made your legacy commitment
  3. David & Vala Lueth immediately donate $25,000 to the Lucky Duck Foundation

“We are very pleased and humbled to support the Lucky Duck Foundation. We value their collaborative approach and prioritization of youth and seniors through a variety of programs and strategies. Supporting their work at a high level brings us great fulfillment, and we highly encourage others to do the same. We are honored to donate $25,000 for each person who commits to including the Lucky Duck Foundation in their estate plans.”
