Giving Tuesday

$100k Matching Challenge for the Monarch School

Giving Tuesday is almost here, and this year the Lucky Duck Foundation is proud to support the Monarch School.

The Monarch School is the only school in the nation dedicated to educating youth experiencing homelessness. As Monarch navigates significant budget headwinds, its role has never been more vital. Every day, Monarch provides students and their families with stability, academic and employment support, emergency aid, and other life-changing services.

Now through Giving Tuesday, every gift to the Monarch School — whether made through the Lucky Duck Foundation or Monarch School — will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000.

We invite you to double your donation today to ensure the Monarch School can continue delivering essential support to San Diego’s students and families in greatest need.

  • $1,500 — Emergency support that prevents eviction and stabilizes families
  • $1,000 — Housing resources and family case management
  • $500 — Extended learning and after-school enrichment
  • $350 — Mental health services for students and caregivers
  • $250 — Clothing and essentials through the Butterfly Boutique
  • $50 — Food support and family dinners

“We are incredibly grateful to the Lucky Duck Foundation for their generous support of our students and families,” said Debra Molyneux, Interim CEO of the Monarch School Project. “Their investment strengthens our ability to provide high-quality education and comprehensive support, empowering unhoused youth to succeed. With partners like Lucky Duck, we move closer to a future where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances.”
